To provide a wooden guardrail which improves weather resistance and snow resistance and has collision safety and guidance property for a vehicle since there are problems of safety and snow resistance in a conventional wooden guardrail while needs of the wooden guardrail are increasing since matching a guard fence with a landscape is considered to be important.
For a bracket 10 as a beam support member for attaching a horizontal beam member, both ends of a metal plate are cut into a chevron shape, and triangular parts remaining at both ends of the metal plate are perpendicularly bent with a perpendicular line in a short side direction passing through the peak part of a chevron-shaped dent as a folding line. The bracket 10 supports a beam member in a manner to hold it by the projected triangular parts, and is fixed to a column 30 with a bolt at a plane part at the center of the metal plate. When a vehicle is brought into contact with a beam and applies loads in the vertical direction, the bracket 10 deforms a chevron-shaped notch in an opening direction, to thereby secure the safety of the vehicle and reduce the breakage of the beam and the column.
