To provide a guard fence and a component for the guard fence excelling in visibility from vehicles running at night because sufficient retroreflectivity is imparted, and satisfying scenic colors of daytime by making the most of original color tones and gloss.

The guard fence includes a retroreflective component formed by imparting retroreflectivity to at least part of a base material surface, as at least a part of components. A retrorefelective coating film giving retroreflectivity includes self-reflecting beads which are beads each formed with a reflective film at part of the surface, and transparent resin as essential components. The self-reflecting beads are fixed to the base material surface by the transparent resin at a predetermined area rate, and the reflecting films of the respective self-reflecting bead surfaces in the fixed state are positioned at random. The component is the retroreflective member applied to the guard fence, and is formed with the retroreflective coating film on at least a part of the surface so as to be given retroreflectivity.
