To provide a guard fence which enables bolt joint for mounting a beam pipe to a support column with a nut holding member inserted into the hollow section of the beam pipe.

The nut holding member 4 includes a nut fitting section having a shape restricting its movement in each direction orthogonal to the pipe shaft of the beam pipe 3 and holding the nut in a rotation preventive state. The nut holding member 4 is inserted from the end of the beam pipe 3 to the corresponding position in the hollow section of the beam pipe with an insertion jig, and is positioned at the position where the bolt hole of the beam pipe matches with the nut. The bolt hole of a bracket 2 mounted to the support column 1 is matched with the bolt hole of the beam pipe, and the bolt 9 inserted through the two bolt holes is screwed in the nut held with the nut holding member 4 into connection.
