To provide a guard fence for a road which is mounted to a support by being bolt-connected by means of a nut of a nut holding member inserted into a hollow portion of a beam pipe.

A pipe retainer 2b joined to the beam pipe 5 is formed at a bracket; and the nut holding member 6 is fitted into the hollow portion from an end of the beam pipe 5. The nut holding member 6 has a nut fitting portion which holds the nut in a non-turnable state in a position corresponding to a bolt hole of the beam pipe 5, the bolt hole of the beam pipe 5 agrees with a position of the nut 7 held by the nut holding member 6, and a bolt 8 is inserted into the bolt hole of the bracket, and joined by being screwed into the corresponding nut 7 of the nut holding member 6.
