PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the guard system which can specify a transmission device having sent a signal and find the occurrence of abnormality in a monitor area in its early stage if a receive signal for a fault, etc., of a telephone line or the transmission device can not be recognized.
SOLUTION: The transmission device 30 and monitor device 50 of the guard system are connected by a general telephone network 40 and a telephone number notification service which informs a called subscriber of the telephone number of a calling subscriber side before the called subscriber side hangs on is used. If the alarm sent from the transmission device 30 can not be received correctly by the monitor device 50 since data of the kind of abnormality, the device number of the transmission device 30 sent as the abnormality are broken when the transmission device 30 sends an alarm to the monitor device 50, a monitor and control part 53 reads a stored telephone number out of a telephone number storage part 57 on condition that the device number included in the alarm is not stored as matching data in a data storage part 55, and matches the telephone number against the telephone number of the transmission device 30 stored in an individual information storage part 56; when the telephone number is stored in the individual information storage part 56, the stored data corresponding to the telephone number is read in and outputted to a notification part 54, and a clear signal is outputted to the telephone number storage part 57.
