PURPOSE: To manufacture a guardfence of low cost which can prevent falling of a passenger or an article and damage due to strong wind and has strange elegance by mounting a grating panel of which the panel thickness and vertical/ horizontal diameter of the hole part are nearly same, on the gap part of a bridge.
CONSTITUTION: A grating panel 3 made of metal, plastics, or wood of which the panel thickness and vertical/horizontal diameter of the panel hole part are nearly same, is mounted on the gap part 2 of horizontal beams of a guardrail for a road bridge or the like. By forming such guardrail, falling of a passenger or an article is prevented, air transmission in the perpendicular direction to the grating panel 3 becomes possible while preventing air transmission obliquely in all directions, up and down, right and left, and hence wind pressure at a strong wind is releaved through the opening parts so as to prevent damage. In addition by fitting a plurality of colorful marking members in the hole parts of the grating panel 3 and expressing letters, symbols, or designs, the appearance can be changed.
