Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject gene useful for stimulating the biosynthesis of a rubber or screening a cDNA or a genome DNA from a material from which the rubber can biologically be synthesized.
CONSTITUTION: A guayule rubber particle protein gene clone pRPP30 containing 1692 base pair fragment of the formula starting from a CTCCACATTCA nucleotide and ending at ATTGTTTCACAAAATTTAGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA nucleotide. The protein gene clone is obtained by screening a cDNA library originated from the bark tissue of the trunk of guayule shrub 11591 line on the basis of amino acid sequence data from a purified rubber particle protein(RPP) and subsequently isolating the cDNA clone of RPP gene.
