Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain mapping by one shot by allowing a comparison discrimination processing section to map a show view code, a guide channel obtained by decoding with a microcomputer and a designated program number automatically. SOLUTION: When a show view code is given to a microcomputer via a remote controller 10 at show view reservation video recording of a video cassette recorder(VCR), the code is decoded by a show view decoder 34 of a microcomputer 30 and the decode result is fed to a comparison discrimination processing section 37. When decoding is finished, a menu is indicated via an On Screen Display(OSD) 50, and when the remote controller 10 inputs a program number based thereon, the guide channel of the show view code and the program number are mapped automatically by the processing section 37 and stored in an external memory 40. Thus, without storing the guide channel by the user, automatic mapping is conducted without button operation by one shot.
