PURPOSE: To enable a guide to easily catch a thread and to prevent jumping of the thread string to an adjacent thread path, by installing the thread branching bins of a control guide for controlling a thread string running at a high speed integrally with an openable bar which is able to control opening and closing of an open part above a space between the bins.
CONSTITUTION: A holder 4 is located to the side end of a body 1, and one end of an arm 5 is pivotally secured by means of a support axis 6. The length of the arm 5 is shorter than those of thread branching bins 2, and since the position of a bar 3 is deviated in the lateral direction of the body, the openable bar 3 closes an open part above a space between the thread branching bins 2 when the arm 5 stands upright. When this control guide is employed in running thread strings, running thread strings 7 are respectively positioned between the thread branching bins 2 in a condition with the openable bar 3 raised and an open part above a space between the thread bins is closed by lowering the bar 3. Thus, the part above a space between the thread branching bins is brought in a closing condition, and this prevents the occurrence of a jumping phenomenon in which the thread string jumps over the thread branching bin due to a slight change in tension of the thread and enters an adjacent thread path.
