Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display routes corresponding to the number of lanes or the running lane by shifting route display from the center line to the running lane side, conforming the route to a running road by whether it is a one-way road or not, and deciding the display range of a running lane due to right/left turning guide information of a road entering a guided crossing point.
SOLUTION: When a route is displayed by a structure form map, both side lines 61 and the center line 63 are drawn and they are displayed according to actual width, and hence route display is performed by shifting from the center line 63 to the running lane side. The route display is processed by the number of the route roads at each guide road number, the width of a route is computed from the number of lanes, and it is judged whether the road is a one-way road or not. In case of one-way road, a contour line is formed from the route width, and in case of no one-way road, the contour lines 62, 71, 72, 73 are made so that the width is 1/2 of th route width, and shifted by the width portion protruded to opposite lane, and the route is painted out with a fixed pattern.
