Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a guide member having a wear resistance, a mechanical strength and an abrasion ability with respect to a yarn or a film, which are well-balanced one another.
CONSTITUTION: A guide member is made of ceramic material containing Al2O3 as a main component, 15 to 40wt.% of ZrO3 having at least 50vol.% of cubic tetragonal system, 1 to 5wt.% of TiO2 and 0.1 to 1wt.% of MgO, the averaged crystal particle size being in a range of 2 to 20μm, and ZrO2 crystal particles contained in Al2O3 crystal particles being less than 2% of ZrO2 in total.
