Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide plate, which is used as an apron on a hot-run table or a rolling-mill delivery guide, secures a stable passing performance of a hot-rolled steel strip on a hot-run table, and further is made of a resin-based material excellent in high-temperature durability and resistant property to abrasive wear caused by contact with a steel plate.
SOLUTION: Resin-impregnated sheets, which are impregnated with thermosetting resin, are laminated on a base material, which is woven by using a double yarn formed by twisting blended yarns made of thread mixed at a ratio of 40-70 glass fiber, 5-50 aramid fiber, and 5-40 polynosic fiber. The guide plate is formed by hot-pressing the base material laminated with the sheets. The guide plate used as an apron 7 for a hot-run table is used as follows: a tilted surface a, which has an angle of less than 20 degree, is formed at the tip end part of the apron; further, the tip end part is set at a position of at least 20 mm lower than the passing line P of a hot-rolled steel strip; and both end corners of the apron in the axial length direction of conveying rolls are cut off by a length of at least 30 mm from the tail end corner to the cut point in the conveying direction of the hot-rolled steel strip and by a length of at least 1.5 times the above length from the tail end corner to the cut point in the axial length direction.
