PURPOSE: To contrive the massproduction of a guide roller for traveling a tape of VTR with good circularity by forming either of the inner circumferential surface and the outer circumferential surface of a cylinder-shaped guide roller at a mirror surface and forming other side of them at a coarse surface.

CONSTITUTION: At a top piece 26, plural gates 30 are formed, at the parting part of a middle piece 27 and a bottom piece 28, a clearance 31 for an air vent is formed and at a bottom piece 29, plural ejecting pins 32 are provided. An inner circumferential surface 29a of a cavity 29 is finished to a specular surface of 0.05μm or below, and on the other hand, at an outer circumferential surface 29b of the cavity 29, a course with the depth of about 0.5μm is provided. The metallic mold constituted in such a way is tightened a, melted resin is poured from respective gates 30 into the cavity 29, and then, for the flow of the resin, the outer circumferential surface 29b is late for the inner circumferential surface 29a, and for such a reason, the air in the cavity 29 and the gas to occur from the melting resin are discharged from the clearance 31 formed at the lower part outer circumferential end of the cavity 29 without fail.
