Title:
GUIDE SHOE FOR REELER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000024704
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent the generation of flaws on an outer peripheral surface of a tube body even in cold-rolling the tube body made of not limited to ordinary steel but high alloy steel by replacing lower shoes of guide shoes for a reeler in the process for manufacturing a seamless tube with rollers composed of two rollers in parallel.

Lower shoes of guide shoes, which are provided to a reeler rolling mill in a process for manufacturing a seamless tube, surround a tube body together with rolling rollers, decide an outer diameter of the tube body, or prevent the tube body from jumping out of a rolling region, are replaced with rollers 13 composed of two rollers in parallel. In this way, by changing the guide shoe used for reeler from a fixed type to a roller type, the contact between the tube body and the guide shoe is changed from whole surface contact to line contact and frictional resistance is remarkably decreased. In company with these matters, the seizing between the tube body 1 and the guide shoe is restrained, and the generation of squeezing flaws and shoe marks is decreased.
