Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide shoe that has simple configuration and reduced slide resistance to a slide surface when a chain slides, holds sufficient lubricant at the slide surface even when an engine is started, and generates reduced noise and wear.SOLUTION: A guide shoe 100 has a slide surface 111 on which a link plate 201 of a running chain 200 slides. A plurality of guiding projections 112 projecting in a vertical direction from the slide surface 111 is provided at the slide surface 111. At least surfaces of the guiding projections 112 from an upstream side of a chain running direction D to an uppermost part of the guiding projections 112 are formed into a convex round surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
