Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the abrasion resistance and contact resistance of a strand guide for a wire-twisting machine, etc., and reduce the production cost of the strand guide.
CONSTITUTION: This guide for strand is produced by selectively forming a diamond film or a diamond-like carbon film 2 by a vapor-phase synthesis method on the guide part 11 of a guide substrate 1, 3 made of a cemented carbide or a ceramic material and polishing the surface of the applied film.
