Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a guide vane opening/closing device for hydraulic machinery which is equipped with a guide vane closing device having a high reliability and free from imposing a large burden on a motor substantially.
CONSTITUTION: A motor 2 of an electric servo motor 1 rotates a guide vane opening/closing mechanism 5 through a reduction gear 3, driving mechanism 4, and link 8 and controls the degree of opening of a guide vane. A spring 21 is installed on a cylinder 17 of a dash pot 15 mounted on the servo motor 1, contacts with a piston 18 only when the guide vane is in the full open position or in its neighbourhood, and gives a force of closing to the mechanism 5 through the piston 18. When the power to the servo motor 1 fails and the guide vane is in the full open position or in its neighbourhood, the spring 21 gives the force of closing to the mechanism 5 so that the guide vane is closed forcedly; when the vane is located elsewhere, it closes by its own closing force.
