Abstract:
To provide suited induction-type transport path correction.SOLUTION: A printer deposits a material onto a substrate as a part of a manufacturing process for an electronic product. At least one transported component experiences an error that affects the deposition. The error is mitigated using transducers that equalize a position of the component, e.g., to provide an "ideal" conveyance path to thereby allow precise droplet placement despite the error. In one embodiment, an optical guide (e.g., laser) is used to define a desired path and a sensor mounted on the component dynamically detects a deviation from the path, and the deviation then drives the transducers and is used to counteract the error immediately. An error correction method herein corrects more than a type of transportation error so that the same can be applied to correct, errors in, for example, a substrate transport path, a printhead transport path and/or split-axis transportation non-orthogonality.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2A
