Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a guiding device for a pipe cutter capable of being made in a simplified structure with low cost, lessening contact resistance with a guide ring and making highly precise cutting work and groove work possible through realizing a complete rectilinear motion of a cutter body.
CONSTITUTION: A bracket 18 is provided on one of the ends of a drive shaft 4 arranged on a cutter body 1 in a rotatable manner and a pair of roller bearings 20, 21 is provided on the bracket 18 for supporting freely rotatable rollers 19 at the lower end of the bracket 18. The interval between roller bearing 20, 21 is the interval of respective rollers 19 sandwiching a giude ring 22 fixed to the outer circumference of a pipe 31 and abutting on its both sides, while a roller fitting arm 27, which extends to the front and behind the proceeding direction of the cutter and has a freely rotatable roller 28 on its lower end, is provided on at least one of the roller bearings 20, 21.
