PURPOSE: To provide a guiding lighting system and a guiding lamp device in which a broad-width frame edge formed in the periphery of a light-penetration plate is hidden to eliminate a sense of disorder to improve appearance.

CONSTITUTION: In this guiding lighting system, plural guiding lamp device 1 are burned along an emergency passage, a reflector 40 and a light source 30 are housed in a casing 10 in these guiding lamp devices, and light emitted from the light source is reflected by the reflector to be released from a light transmission plate 18. In the guiding lamp device 1, a recessed part 16 having a level difference from the front surface of the light transmission plate is provided on the front surface periphery of the light transmission plate 18. Consequently a panel or finishing material matching with the color or design of a burying surface in an installation site can be selected to be fitted to a recessed part, provided on the periphery of the light transmission plate, eliminating a sense of disorder to the design of a building to improve appearance.
