PURPOSE: To obtain an apparatus capable of quickly and surely removing guts from the abdominal cavity of a fish body without causing the scattering and damaging of the guts by arranging a plurality of specific pressing members along the transfer path.
CONSTITUTION: A fish body is transferred in a state clamped by the clamping faces of transfer belts and the head is cut off with a rotary circular saw. The headed body is transferred to a position near a pressing member 14a and the abdomen of the fish is pressed to push the guts out of the abdomen. A plurality of pressing members are arranged along the transfer path and the lower end of the pressing member is provided with a supporting part 14b extending outward in the radial direction and a curved receiving face 14c to hold the abdomen of the fish body.
