Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate a patient's shame when an auxiliary seat is withdrawn and is housed into the rear surface of a back rest by actuation of a seat driving cylinder by turning a crotch rest and automatically expanding the patient's crotch cooperatively with this housing.
CONSTITUTION: Height adjustment is first performed by controlling a lifting cylinder 6 in such a manner that the patient is brought to the height of the doctor's eyes and thereafter the examination chair is luffed by actuating the luffing cylinder 9 in the case of performing examination or treatment in the state that the patient seats on the auxiliary seat 2 of the examination chair in an upright state and places her crotch on the crotch rest 4. The seat driving cylinder 11 is then contracted to withdraw the auxiliary seat 2 into the rear surface side of the back rest by having guide pins 2a, 2b guided by guide holes 10a, 10b. The crotch rest 4 is turned around the pseudo fulcrum centering at the patient's is chiadic tuber by means of links 12 to 14 cooperatively with the motion of the auxiliary seat 2, by which the patient's 7 legs are smoothly opened and closed.
