Abstract:

To provide a polypeptide of Haemophilus influenzae which can be used for prophylaxis, diagnostic and/or therapy purposes.

The isolated polypeptide contains one chosen from: (a) a polypeptide at least 70% homologous to a second polypeptide having a particular amino acid sequence; (b) a polypeptide at least 95% homologous to the second polypeptide having the sequence; (c) a polypeptide having the sequence; (d) a polypeptide capable of producing an antibody that specifically binds to the polypeptide having the sequence; (e) an epitope having a portion of the polypeptide having the sequence; (f) a polypeptide of (a), (b), (c), (d) or (e) lacking a Met residue at the N terminus; or (g) a polypeptide of (a), (b), (c), (d) or (e) lacking a secretory amino acid sequence.
