To solve the problem that hairs entwined with bristles are usually removed by a thin rod inserted between rows of the bristles, but the hairs entwined with the bases of the bristles cannot be easily removed therefrom so that the thin rod pushes aside the hairs to pass the hairs, and accordingly, the hairs cannot be effectively removed, and to provide a hair brush capable of efficiently removing hairs entwined with the bases of the bristles.

The hair brush has the bristles on a base and recessed parts are provided in the base. The recessed parts are preferably elongated grooves extending between the bristles.
