To provide a hair cosmetic product ensuring smooth finger-combing performance, free from hair stiffening and giving hairs uniformly collected from the root to the tip.

The hair cosmetic product is compounded with at least a sucrose fatty acid ester and an ester of an N-long chain acyl-N-methyl--alanine and a higher alcohol and/or sterols. Preferably the hair cosmetic product is compounded with the sucrose fatty acid ester having an HLB of 1-7 and the sucrose fatty acid ester having an HLB of 8-17, and preferably compounded with a tetraester of pentaerythritol and a fatty acid.
