To provide a hair curling iron capable of curling the hair smoothly in an excellent state and improving the workability of curling work.

The glove 3 is provided with a heat source and the surface at least on the side of the surface facing the glove 3 of the rod 2 is formed of a non heat transmissive material. In this case, the glove 3 is constituted so as to be in surface contact or linear contact with the outer peripheral surface of the rod 2 through the hair in prescribed width. Also, the rod 2 is provided with elastic force on the surface on the side of the surface facing the glove 3.
