PURPOSE: To make it easy to cut hairs around ears without cutting excessively by providing a first edge portion comprising a net-shaped fixed edge and a movable edge which makes sliding contact with the fixed edge, and a ring- shaped second edge portion comprising toothed fixed and movable edges.

CONSTITUTION: A first edge portion 1 comprises a fixed edge 11 which is domed and formed into a net by formation of a number of edge holes therethrough and a movable edge 12 which makes sliding contact with the inner surface of the fixed edge 11. The movable edge 12 comprising a plurality of blades 14 mounted on a rotating stand 13 affixed to the output shaft 40 of a motor 4 is driven and rotated by the motor 4. A second edge portion 2 comprises a ring-shaped fixed edge 21 affixed to the upper end edge of a tubular housing 3 and a movable edge 22 disposed on the inner periphery of the edge 21, the edges 21, 22 both having comb-shaped teeth. The movable edge 22 has an inner gear 23 which is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the lower portion thereof and which meshes with a gear 41 via an intermediate gear 42, the gear 41 being affixed to the output shaft 40 of the motor 4: the movable edge 22 rotates about its axis as it is driven by the motor 4.
