Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that can reduce noise of a hair dryer.SOLUTION: A hair dryer 5 comprises a fan motor FM, a heater unit HU, and a body case C covering the fan motor and the heater unit and extending forward and backward around a center axis J1. The fan motor comprises an impeller 4 that rotates about the center axis, and a motor M. The body case comprises a suction case part 1 including a suction port 10, a discharge case part 3 including a discharge port 30, and an inflow case part 2 located between the suction port and the discharge port and including an inflow port 20. The suction case part comprises a suction pipe part 111 extending toward the inflow port. An expansion chamber 120 located between the suction port and the discharge port and extending in a radially outward direction of the suction pipe part and the inflow port is constituted by the suction case part and the inflow case part. Thereby, noise caused by the impeller is reflected in the expansion chamber, and noise of the hair dryer can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
