Abstract:
PURPOSE: To protect hair or parts in a main body case by disconnecting or reducing heat generation of a heater in the case where a blow port gets excessively close to the hair, or in the condition where the blow port is closed, in a portable type hair drier having the blow port at a front end of the main body case.
CONSTITUTION: A normally closed type safety switch 40 which can be freely protruded/retracted is installed around a blow port 2 provided at a front end of a main body case 1 to be protruded forward from the front end of the main body case 1. When the safety switch 40 is pushed by external force of hair or the like to be retracted, energization to a heater 3 is disconnected, or energization quantity is reduced.
