To provide a hair dryer simple in assembling process, small-size and lightweight, prevented from overheating and having no possibility of trouble due to the breakage of a heater caused by the overheating of the coil.
A hair dryer comprises a body 10 formed with an air inflow port 12 and a discharge port 13, a heater 20 made of an heating body of ceramic material, a connecting member 23 installed on one side surface of the heater 20 for connecting the heater 20 with an external power supply, and a fan 15a for circulating the air flowed in through the inflow port 12 and for discharging the air heated by the heater 20 through the discharge port 13. The heater 20 is manufactured by ceramic materials such as silicon carbide(SiC), lanthanum chromate(LaCrO3), and zircon dioxide(ZrO2).
