Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a noiseless reproduced image when a reproducing video signal is shown on a liquid crystal display part.
SOLUTION: A video signal is sampled in sample-and-hold circuits 31 to 3n and supplied as a display signal to signal lines 8X1 to 8Xn of a liquid crystal display device 8 through sample-and-hold circuits 71 to 7n. Scan signals Y1 to Ym are supplied to signal lines 8Y1 to Gym through AND gates G1 to Gm. A signal W/H which controls line/hold is supplied to the gates G1 to Gm. At the time of normal reproduction, the signal. W/H is always made '1' and the scan signal. is not prevented. At the time of still. reproduction and slow reproduction, a signal W/H that is inverted to '0' very field is supplied. When a scan signal is prevented by making the signal W/H '0' in a field that has much noise, the display of an image in a previous field that does not have so much noise is held and an image that has much noise is not shown.
