Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify a structure for cooling a connector, thereby lighten the structure and reduce cost by utilizing a part of air flow produced by a blower fan to cool the connector.
CONSTITUTION: In a grip 4 are provided an operating switch 11 for controlling the electrification of a motor 6 and heater 7, and a connector 13 for connecting a power cord 12 to body case 1. A first close part 16 and second close part 17 facing the rotational peripheral surface of a blower fan 5 are provided. Air flow supplied from the blower fan 5 is divided by these both close parts 16, 17, and most of the air flow is sent to a dry air flow path 18 incorporating a heater 7 to be blown out of a blowout port 9. A part of the air flow is sent to a cooling air path 19 in the grip 4. To discharge the cooling air sent to the cooling air path 19 to the outside of a case, a plurality of air ejecting ports 20 are opened in the lower end wall of the grip 4. A fan for exclusively cooling is not needed separately and thereby cost for manufacturing a hair dryer is reduced and the total weight is reduced.
