This hair dye composition is a one package hair dye composition and contains an indoline derivative (1) (wherein R1, R4 and R5 represent each H, a 1-4C alky or a 2-20C acryl; R2 and R3 represent each H or a 1-4C alkyl) or its salt and an amine (2) (wherein R represents H, a 1-5C alkyl which may be substituted with hydroxyl or phenyl which may have substituents) and has a pH at 8.5-11.
