Abstract:
To provide a hair dyeing method whereby, the hair dyed gray to black with a hair dye composition containing a melanin precursor can be changed into a more reddish, bright, natural color.SOLUTION: A hair dyeing method includes the following step 1 and step 2 in order. After the step 1 is performed, the hair is fed to the step 2 while the hair is kept in a wet state with a moisture content per g of 0.008 g or more. The step 1: a hair dye composition (I) containing a compound represented by general formula (1A) or a salt thereof (A) and an organic alkali agent (B) and having a pH of 9 or more and 11 or less is applied to the hair [where a dashed line denotes the existence or absence of a π bond, R1 denotes a hydroxy group or an acetoxy group, R2 denotes a hydrogen atom, an acetyl group, a methyl group or an ethyl group]. Step 2: a hair treatment agent (II) containing organic acid (C) and having a pH of 5.5 or less is applied to the hair.SELECTED DRAWING: None
