To obtain a hair grower capable of manifesting excellent depilation- preventing activities and hair-fostering activities such as hair-growing activities by formulating a coriander extract of a plant extract in combination with a specific amine oxide.
This hair grower contains (A) a coriander extract and (B) one or more kinds of amine oxide of the formula [R1 is a 2-24C linear or branched alkyl; R2 is methyl or 2-hydroxyethyl; (n) is 0-5]. Preferably, the formulated amount of the component A expressed in terms of the dried weight is 0.00001-20.0 wt.%, and the formulated amount of the component B is 0.0001-20.0 wt.%. The component A is obtained by extracting seeds of the coriander with hot water, a lower alcohol such as methanol, a polyhydric alcohol such as propylene glycol, or the like. As the result, the hair tonic having excellent hair-fostering activities compared to a conventional hair grower is expected.
