A columnar rolling body part 1, whose circumferential surface is defined as a heating surface, is successively arranged in a direction toward the tip end of a grip 2. The hair iron includes a pressure board 3 which is protruded in the direction toward the tip end from the grip 2 to be freely made away from and nearer to the circumferential surface of the rolling body part 1. The hair is held between the pressure board 3 and a peripheral holding surface 4 where the pressure board 3 faces the heating surface of the circumferential surface of the rolling body part 1, so as to perform hair setting. The hair iron includes the minus ion generater part. The negative ion outlet 5 of the negative ion generater part is arranged at a position near the peripheral holding surface 4. The opening of the minus ion outlet 5 is formed to be directed in the axial direction of the rolling body part 1.
