To provide a hair iron which is small in the number of components, and in which heating plate s are very simply attached and are locked and held with bisected split members respectively to be made excellent in stability and hardly removed.

Locking pieces 14a2, 14b2, 14a3 and 14b3 are provided respectively on the inner side edge of the rear part of the respective hair clamping parts 4 of the bisected split members 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b. Also, the respective heating plates 9 are provided with a planar main body 9a, side face walls 9b in a fish hook shape suspended on the left and right of the back side of the main body 9a, and respective notched parts 9c for which a part close to the main body is cut at the respective rear parts of both side face walls 9b. At the respective rear parts of the respective heating plates 9, the respective notched parts 9c are locked to the respective locking pieces 14a2, 14b2, 14a3 and 14b3 of the respective split members 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b. At the respective front parts of the respective heating plates 9, respective machine screws 22 are inserted from the front surfaces of the respective hair clamping parts 4 of the respective split members 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b to the curved inner side of the fish hook shape of the side face walls 9b of the respective heating plates 9, and both front and rear sides of the respective heating plates 9 are fitted to the respective hair clamping parts 4 of the bisected split members 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b.
