The hair iron 1 includes: a first clamping part 2b having a first hair clamping surface 22a; and a second clamping part 3b having a second hair clamping surface 32a, wherein the hair is clamped between the first hair clamping surface 22a and the second hair clamping surface 32a. An outer ward housing 52 being the outer ward of the first clamping part 2b is formed to be substantially circular. The air blowing mechanism 53 is provided at the back surface side of the first hair clamping surface 22a in the first clamping part 2b. The cross section shape of the air blowing mechanism 53 when viewed from the longitudinal direction of the first clamping part 2b is substantially in a trapezoid shape shrinking toward the top side of the outer ward.
