This hair iron is provided with a winding drum 1 to which the hair is wound, a clip 2 for clipping the hair between the outer peripheral surface of the winding drum 1 and a heater 5 for heating the winding drum 1. The clip 2 is formed by a heat bad conductor. A guard 6 in a rib shape along a peripheral direction formed by the heat bad conductor is provided at least on a part other than an area facing the clip 2 in the winding drum 1. The plural guards 6 are fixed to the winding drum 1 with intervals in the axial direction of the winding drum 1. A required interval is provided between the surface of the winding drum 1 and the skin without the need of the presence of floating the hair from the winding drum 1.
