To provide a bristle material for a brush, capable of being easily produced, more improved in washing properties than ever, capable of decreasing areas left to be not washed, capable of preventing a washed surface from being damaged, and scarcely producing a sound when used in washing.

This bristle material for the brush is used for washing soil, etc., adhered to the washed surface, wherein the bristle material for the brush is given by using a synthetic resin foamed material and formed into an approximately cylindrical body having a hollow cross section.
