The hair material for a cleaning brush consists of cut bristles of thermoplastic elastomer monofilament, wherein the cross section of the monofilament consists of two or more units annularly connected and its center is a variant hollow cross section having a hollow part. Also presented is a cleaning brush, wherein the hair material for the cleaning brush is used as a hair material in at least part thereof.
