PURPOSE: To obtain a hair restoring and growing agent having excellent hair restoring and growing action and alopecia-preventing action and high safety by combinedly using extract of Hypericum erectum and ingredients such as a keratolytic agent, an antimicrobial agent and a local stimulant.
CONSTITUTION: This hair restoring and growing agent is obtained by combinedly using (preferably 0.01-10wt.% of) an extract of Hypericum erectum thunb., well known as a Chinese medicine and (0.001-5wt.% of) one or two or more kinds of ingredients selected from a keratolytic agent, an antimicrobial agent, a local stimulant, a humectant and a hair follicle activator. The keratolytic agent includes aspirin or salicylic acid. The antimicrobial agent includes isopropylmethylphenol, benzalkonium chloride or octopirox. The local stimulant includes camphor, 1-menthol, nonylvanilylamide or tioxolone. The humectant includes soluble collagen, glycerol, chondroitin sulfate, tuberose polysaccharide or vegetative wasps. The hair follicle activator includes N-acetyl-L-methionine.
