This invention intends to provide a technique enabling a user to straighten his curly hair easily on his own. A curly hair straightening device according to this invention includes two grips 3 and 4 connected at one end of each grip to form a V shape. At the free end of grip 3 is provided a permanent wave agent brush 5 for attaching permanent wave agent and a blow brush 6 with the two brushes 5 and 6 being provided back to back with each other. At the other grip 4 is provided a hair pressing section 7 and a hair scooping section 8. The permanent wave agent brush 5 includes a base portion, a plurality of hair combing teeth 12 arranged in a comb shape along the two sides of the base portion and tilting outwards at their upper ends, and a plurality of permanent wave agent retaining teeth arranged on the inner side of the plurality of hair combing teeth 12. The blow brush 6 and the hair pressing section 7, in cooperation, can grasp the user's hairs. The blow brush 6 is implanted with brush hairs 23 whose upper ends crowd. The hair pressing section 7 is provided with a plurality of hair guiding grooves 24 that extend throughout it in its traversal direction. The hair scooping section 8 projects beyond the position of the front end of the blow brush 6, and it has a rounded and tapered front end. The inner surface of the hair scooping section 8 that bears the scooped hairs connects with the inner surface of the hair pressing section 7 provided with the plurality of hair guiding grooves 24.
