Abstract:
To obtain a hair tonic having peripheral vasodilating action by combining minoxidil useful for treating hypertension with a specific compound, having secured safety, higher hair tonic effect and low skin irritation.
This hair tonic comprises both minoxidil and glyceryl monolinoleate. The amount of minoxidil mixed is 0.1-5wt.% and that of glyceryl monolinoleate is 0.5-30wt.%. A proper amount of the hair tonic is mixed with a proper amount of a lotion, tonic, cream, ointment, aerosol, etc., and used in order to treat and prevent male pattern alopecia. A proper amount of the hair tonic is applied to scalp once to several times daily in use.
