PURPOSE: To certainly control the number of filament stocks to be transplanted and to obtain a uniform plant to be transplanted by cutting a filament bundle, folding the bundle in two by pressing the middle portion of the bundle in the longitudinal direction, and implanting and fixing the filament bundle and the flat plate into a work.
CONSTITUTION: Plastic filaments 1' are bundled, fed by a drive roller 7 and introduced via a feeding guide 8 into an implanting header 3. When the tip of the filament bundle reaches a predetermined position, the rotation of the drive roller 7 is stopped. Simultaneously, the filament bundle is cut by turning an eccentric cutter 9, thereby obtaining a transplant filament bundle 1. The implant header 3 is advanced, while the transplant filamenting bundle 1 is led to the front end by a flat plate 2 by advancing an implanting driver 4. The flat plate 2 and the transplant filament bundle 1 which is folded in two are implanted and fixed at a predetermined position of a work 16.
