To obtain a hair treatment capable of providing a good hair styling and capable of being removed by a simple shampooing by including a specific ester and a component comprising a specified hair-fixing polymer.
This hair treatment contains (A) an 8-18C ester having a- hydroxycarboxylic acid group and esterified by an alcohol, preferably in the amount of 0.01-10 wt.%, more preferably 0.05-3.0 wt.%, (B) a hair-fixing polymer having film-forming ability, preferably in the amount of 0.01-50 wt.%, more preferably 0.5-20 wt.%. The component A is preferably a compound of the formula HO-C (XR1)(YR2)-CO2R3 [R1 and R2 are each H or CO2R4; R3 and R4 are each a substituted 8-18C (un)saturated alkyl; X and Y are each a single bond or a substituted (un)saturated alkyl], more preferably a triester of citric acid, a diester of malic acid or the like.
