To provide a half-plastic body cutting apparatus which has high energy consumption efficiency and has reduced manufacturing cost.
The cutting apparatus 20 cuts a half-plastic body M by relatively moving the half-plastic body M and a wire W, and includes a pair of rotary drums 1, 2 provided on a concentric axis 3, the wire W that is wound around a pair of rotary drums 1, 2 by respectively engaging both ends therewith; a folding back pulley 12 which folds back the wire W pulled out from one rotary drum out of a pair of rotary drums 1, 2 toward the other rotary drum, positioning pulleys 10, 11 which guide the pulled out wire W to a cutting area where the half-plastic body M is cut, and a tension imparting mechanism such as a tension pulley 9 which imparts prescribed tension to the pulled-out wire.
