To efficiently manufacture the components of a V-belt drive, a driven pulley, and a movable driven pulley for use as a continuously variable transmission mechanism of, e.g. a scooter.
To form a half 1a of a drive pulley by fitting a cylindrical boss 5 into a fitting hole 4a in a drive face 4a and welding the mating surfaces of both 4, 5 together, the boss 5 that is cold forged, machined on each end face, and broached is fitted into the fitting hole 4a in the drive face 4, and the mating surfaces are laser welded together. For machining of a half 2a of a driven pulley and a half 2b of a movable driven pulley, mechanical processes are similarly concentrated prior to welding, and the process of removing distortions after the welding is omitted.
