PURPOSE: To provide a novel halogenoallyl-azolyl derivative, it acid addition salt and metal salt complex useful as protective agents for plants and materials because of their strong microbicidal activity against pests such as bacteria or fungi.
CONSTITUTION: A halogenoallyl-azolyl derivative of formula I (R1 is formula II, formula III, formula IV, etc.; R2 is H, alkyl, alkenyl, etc.; X1 and X2 are each halogen; X3 is H or halogen; Y is N or CH), its acid addition salt and metal salt complex. The compound as mentioned above is obtained by reacting an alkyne of formula V with halogen or a halogen donating compound in the presence of a diluent comprising a water-immiscible organic solvent preferably at -5-80°C. The compound in 0.5-90 wt.% is admixed with a liquid solvent and/or a solid carrier and an optional surface active agent, and the mixture is used as microbicides.
