Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halved thrust bearing in which oil in an oil groove can smoothly flow to the bearing surface so that a larger size oil groove and increased oil supply are less required.SOLUTION: A halved thrust bearing 1 is configured such that a bearing alloy layer 8 and a resin coating layer 9 are sequentially laminated on a back metal 7 of a semicircular ring shape and the surface of the resin coating layer 9 serves as a bearing surface 2, and a substantially radial oil groove 3 is formed on the bearing surface 2. A side wall surface 3a of the oil groove 3 is formed in a slope widened toward the bearing surface 2, and the resin coating layer 9 has a coating part 9a smoothly covering both surfaces from the bearing surface 2 to the side wall surface 3a. The side wall surface 3a of the oil groove 3 is formed in the slope widened toward the bearing surface 2, and the coating part 9a of resin coating layer 9 smoothly covers both surfaces from the bearing surface 2 to the side wall surface 3a, so that the oil in the oil groove 3 can be made to smoothly flow out from the side wall surface 3a to the bearing surface 2 by the coating part 9a, compared with a conventional device.
